Historical Reference
The T82 tank destroyer was designed in November 1943. The project was based on the M5A1’s chassis. The unroofed, lightly armoured cabin contained the light 105 mm M3A1 howitzer. By 15 August 1944, two T82 prototypes had been produced – however, the project was closed on 21 June 1945, due to the lack of interest from the army.
